Services

Services are held at 11am every Sunday in the Chapel and reflect our breadth of spiritual views with readings, hymns and prayers from many sources. The latest order of service is posted here.

You can also join services via zoom. For further information (including the zoom link) please contact in advance of the service.

The current schedule of services is shown below:

A sample order of service is shown below: this was from a service for York Interfaith Week in 2022 led by our then minister, Rev. Stephanie Bisby.

Last year we marked our 350th Anniversary as a congregation with a special service which we recorded. You can watch below.

Meditation Group

The meditation group meets on Thursdays at 11 a.m. in the meeting room above the Chapel for 45 minutes to an hour of quiet reflection, usually followed by a packed lunch for those who wish to stay and eat together – please arrive promptly as once we’re upstairs we don’t always hear the door!

Discussion Groups

We sometimes meet, either in Chapel or on zoom, for discussion inspired by a relevant book or issue. Past topics have been as varied as race, the Gospel of Mark, and inspirational art. See our ‘Events’ page for any upcoming groups.

Parking:
The only parking in St. Saviourgate itself is for local residents or for up-to-10 minute stays. The nearest public car parks are The Shambles Car Park, Monk Bar Car Park, or Castle Car Park. If you are coming from outside York you may prefer to use the Park and Ride services. Numbers 8 and 9 stop nearest the Chapel in Stonebow or Peaseholme Green, but any Park and Ride will get you into the City Centre.
